Too Long

It has been such a long time since my mom is has had a chance to sit and update my blog. There have been quiet a few things that have happened. I now have five teeth! Hopefully in the next few days I will have six! I have also had Chicken Pox :-( It made me feel really grotty to start with. I started I had a cold and then I started getting the spots. Spotty is my new name. Because of the Spots I couldn't go to my graduation from Moms and Babes. Mommy was very disappointed about that. But on the upside we have enrolled for Clamber Club next year! Yippee. Then I can really start climbing on things.

I have discovered that the best place to read my books is sitting on the coffee table. Very comfy indeed. Mommy says that I am becoming a real chatterbox. I suppose I am - hee hee. I am starting to say more things and it is great that people are starting to understand what I am saying. I have also discovered a few more things that I really like. Blueberries and watermelon are now one of my favourites. Grapes and Strawberries are also very nice. The summer fruits are much nicer than the boring things you get in winter. I have put up some new photos.

Asleep in Daddy's arms. Is there a better place to be?

Helping Mom with getting the paper out for paper collection day.

Eating my rice cake after spending the afternoon running around after the chickens and ducks at the farm.

My new favorite place to play - the cupboard in the TV Unit!

Tomorrow we are going to put up the Christmas tree! Going to help Mommy - yay

Finally! Mommy has figured out how to reduce the video she took of me when I first started walking. Enjoy.

Face painting and Party packs

Wow! What a busy day. I had two birthday parties that I was invited to today. The first one was for Tamaryn and Dylan and the second was for Emma. Louise baked the cupcakes for Tamaryn. Pretty purple and blue ones with stars and silver balls on them. There were lots of girls who were happy to play with me - yay! I even got my first Hello Kitty party pack. My own party pack! I must admit that eating is becoming a lot more fun now that I have half a tooth. It is amazing what I am able to munch on now. We had a very yummy lunch of home made hamburger and chips. After lunch it was into the car and down the highway to my next appointment. I did manage to have a half hour cat nap on the way there.

There were a lot more little girls at this party. They got to swim in the pool :-( Although we I saw the frozen bodies climbing out of the cold water I was rather happy that I wasn't allowed to swim. Brrrr These little girls were much busier than I could ever hope to be, so I was just happy to sit and watch while they ran and played. Heather gave me my second party pack for the day. Two party packs in one day! This one was a box that had lots of little goodies in that I could unpack. I love boxes that I can unpack and pack again and again. Then the special lady arrived. She was very nice and I got my face painted! With glitter too.

                                                                  My pretty pink hearts

It was a really busy day but a really fun day too. I am off to bed. Got another big day tomorrow. We are taking part in the Avon iThembi Walk for Breast Cancer. Yawn.  Need to get a good night sleep.

Its been a while..

It certainly has been a while! Not much has changed lately just improved. I am really getting the hang of walking! I can even walk up and down slopes without falling now. Speaking of falling I did have two minor accidents on Saturday. The first happened when we went to the Irene Farm for breakfast and I tripped on the uneven bricks. I did have a rather nasty bump on my head. Then when we got home and I was happily playing with my toys when I tripped over my squeaky hammer and bumped my cheek on the coffee table. Now I have a perfectly round blue bruise in the middle of my cheek!

On Sunday I discovered the most fun thing to play with - the Hosepipe! All that water and I can make patterns with it when I shake the hosepipe. That was the best fun I have had in a while.

Watering the garden is such hard work!

Ooohhh this is fun!

Nice and sopping wet!

After I had finished playing and Mommy took me inside to get out of my wet clothes we played on the bed. Just love mommys sunglasses!

So much better just in a nappy!

Right - next thing on my list of things to do is to get Mommmy to post the video of me walking. Better late than never!
Have a great day everyone!

Walking, Riding and Teeth

I can walk!

Well I have been able to walk for a while now but this weekend I started really walking on my own with a lot more confidence. I have such fun sneaking up on mommy! Officially I have my first tooth! It has only taken 13 months but my first tooth is finally here. It was a rather difficult experience which made me cry a lot and be rather miserable. Hopefully the worst is over.

This morning I pushed myself along on my Winnie the Pooh ride-on! I think mommy is happy about that, no more breaking her back pushing me up and down the road. I am sure she will still do it for me though ;-)

Off to have my morning nap. Have a great week all!

What a Happy Saturday

Today was one of the best days ever! Mommy worked in the garden and she let me help. I am very proud of myself for helping her dig the holes for the Ground Orchids. I never thought that I would something that was just as much fun as playing with water. Digging in the sand.

After I had finished planting the Orchids I needed to take a bath.

Who says that I can't fit into Hagrids water bowl?

I most certainly can't wait to see what tomorrow brings.
Sweet dreams everyone.

The week is coming to an end

What a long week! Not that much has been happening this week, or it doesn't feel that way.

One of Daddy's customers brought a big black box that had to be fixed and he left it on the floor for me to play with. Or so I thought. It was the best toy ever! There was a key that I could put in and take out and when you turned the key it opened a little door. Kept me busy for hours! Then Daddy had to fix it and now my favorite toy is gone :-(

On Sunday I discovered a secret that Mommy has been keeping from me. A lovely bowl of water that I can play with anytime I want! Yes, I discovered the dogs water bowls on Sunday afternoon. I don't think Hagrid was too impressed with me messing all of his yummy clean water everywhere.

I was a rather mucky by the time I was finished. Who needs to have a shell full of water that I can only play with sometimes when these are easily within reach ;-)

Daddy has had to go away again - *sigh* but he says that he will be back tomorrow. We were going to have a "Girls Day Out" but the wind is blowing so much I don't think I want to go and play in the sandpit today. Maybe we can do it tomorrow if the weather is nice. Holding thumbs.

Have a great Friday everyone!

Road Trip

Today Mom and I took a road trip to visit Meagan, Derek and Matthew. I was ready for my early morning snooze but there were so many new things to look at and watch that I just couldn't sleep, worried I was going to miss something! It was the first time that I got to play with Matthew. He is a little older than me but he was very kind and let me share his toys. He even pushed me on his train. Although we did crash once or twice. Nothing serious I managed to stay on!

Meagan was so nice. She gave me my first Chomp. These things that mom has been hiding away from me! I hardly messed at all. Much to good to mess. I had a nice long sleep in the afternoon. Then it was time to go home. Aawww not the car again! I tried to be good but it started to get really boring when I had thrown all my toys away and mommy wouldn't stop to give them to me. :-( Daddy was waiting at the gate when we got home to rescue me. Gotta love my Daddy. I think I like the idea of road trips and would like to do one soon.

Sweet dreams everyone!

Spring has Sprung

Spring has sprung and the grass is rizz!
I am so happy that summer is (almost) here. It is so nice and warm in the afternoon that my splash pool gets filled up and I can play in the water until I look like a prune! I just love playing in the water. There are so many new flowers to look at when we go walking and another added bonus is that I don't have to be all wrapped up against the cold.

I have also had my first proper haircut! Looks very cute even if I do say so myself ;-)

This teething thing is so hard and really sore! Mommy says that I have been such a brave girl and that I am doing really well. I am hoping that it will all be over soon, but I have heard rumours that I am going to get more than one tooth! I hope that they are not all this difficult and sore. Will keep you posted on the progress of the tooth!

Tomorrow at Moms and Babes we are going to be doing water play. I will let you know what that is and what it was like.
Sweet Dreams everyone

A few more things I have discovered...

So it has been quiet a week again. I have made a few more discoveries this week, one of them being that I really don't like having a cold. Everyone keeps interrupting me while I am busy to wipe my nose, I can't sleep and that means that mommy rubs all this funny smelling stuff on me! Not fun at all. On the up side I am starting to feel much better.

My daddy had to go away again for a week, missing him lots. It is not the same when I go walking and want to say "Hi" and he is not in his office. Bath timeis not the same with mommy as it is with Daddy. I can't wait for him to come home. We are going to be off to the airport on Friday to go and fetch him. Yippee!

This has been such a fun weekend. Yesterday we went to the Crazi Cow Tea Garden and I played in the sand and on the slide. Another thing that I have discovered that I like, the slide. I am getting quiet good at climbing up the stairs myself. I still need a little help though. This morning was a mad rush! We took part in the Angels Walking for Cancer walk at the Johannesburg Zoo. The alarm didn't go off at 4:30 like it was supposed to so when we woke up it was 5:00 already and we were late! We had to go and fetch Pauline at 5:30! We were never going to make it. We went rushing down the highway, what a pleasure. We were the only car on the road! We pick up Pauline and then we were on our way. We found a great parking spot and then I got changed into my pink outfit and put on my wings. (The pink is for Breast Cancer). We had to stand around for a while but then we got walking. I must be honest and say that I didn't see much because I fell asleep. It was an early start you understand.

My Little Pink Angel

Afterwards we had a yummy lunch. Peanut Butter smoothies are the best! Thank you Pauline ;-) Then homeward bound to feed Hagrid and Bella, there was no time this morning. Sorry puppies.
I have had my bath and now it is time for me to go to bed.
See you all soon.

One last thing! I love fruit salad :-)

It's my party

Whew it has been a busy two weeks. Who knew that having a birthday would be such hard work!
My pretty party dress

So it was my birthday party on the 14th and I was such a lucky girl with all the people that came to celebrate with me. Mom baked me a Lady Bug cake, which was yummy. Granny and Louise also made lots of yummy things for everyone to eat.
Yummy birthday cake!
I was so spoilt with all the presents, thank you everyone. I think mom is hoping that my next birthday doesn't come to quickly. She looks tired after all the hard work - hee hee

Things I have discovered

It is official - I am one year old today! Mommy says that this past year has passed so quickly but I don't think so. I have been learning new things everyday and that keeps me very busy. There are a few things that I have discovered. Things that I like and don't really like.

Lets start with the things I like, oh where to start there are so many. Well here goes...
I love my bathtime and the playtime with Daddy afterwards.

I love to try new foods to eat. Eating from Mommy's plate is the best.

I like being outside in the sunshine playing with water and terrorising the dogs - hee hee. Bella doesn't mind much but Hagrid sometimes is mean and won't play with me. But that's okay, one day I will be big enough to catch him when he walks away!
I like going to the tea garden with jungle gym and BIG sandpit where I can play with my friends.
"Walking" with the help from whoever is around to walk with me. It is so much better than crawling.

Now for the things that I don't like
Injections! Don't think anyone likes those.
Getting out of the bath, even when I am all wrinkly from being in the water so long.
Looking at my list, it seems like there are very few things that I don't like. Isn't that great!

Let me get back to doing what I do best, keeping mom busy.

Can't wait to see what the new year will bring.
